ABOUT THE FAIRY FAMILY FOUNDATION
Building Teens. Changing Futures.
WHO WE ARE
The Fairy Family Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to developing under-resourced teens ages 13–19 through mentorship, education, workforce readiness, and wellness-focused support.
Founded in 2016 by Lamica Martin, the Foundation began with two teenagers—one facing homelessness, the other navigating her mother’s life-threatening illness while still striving to complete their educations. What began as crisis support grew into a scalable model for youth empowerment across California.
Over nine years, The Fairy Family Foundation has served more than 250 youth across 14+ cities, delivering structured programming in academic support, professional readiness, and life-skills development.
The founder’s lived experience raising twins on the autism spectrum and a child with Attention-Deficit Disorder expanded the organization’s mission to include advocacy and services for youth with developmental differences—ensuring equity extends to every child.
Today, the organization is entering its next phase with the creation of The Fairy Family Empowerment House—a centralized community hub where teens receive tutoring, autism-informed services, mentorship, career guidance, and emotional support under one roof.
We are not a short-term program.
We are an infrastructure solution.
We Don’t Save Teens. We Build Them.
OUR MISSION
To keep teens ages 13-19—especially those from under-resourced communities and with special needs—alive, educated, off drugs, and off the streets by providing access to critical resources, safe environments, and transformational programs that support long-term well-being and success.
HOW WE BUILT BEFORE WE SCALED
From the beginning, The Fairy Family Foundation chose impact over appearance.
Rather than expanding rapidly without infrastructure, the Foundation focused on providing deep, consistent support to a manageable number of teens—ensuring each youth received mentorship, academic guidance, and stability instead of surface-level programming.
For nine years, the organization grew through grassroots fundraising, community partnerships, and founder-led investment—building responsibly without relying on unstable funding streams.
Only now—after establishing credibility, leadership stability, and operational structure—are we entering a new growth phase through The Fairy Family Empowerment House.
We built the foundation first.
Now we are building capacity.

WHY WE EXIST
We believe every teen deserves a place to belong, adults who see their worth, and support without shame or conditions. The Fairy Family Foundation exists because too many teens are navigating poverty, instability, and systemic barriers alone—and we refuse to let that continue.
We Don't Save Teens. We Build Them.
